This group will take still photos and/or movies of all events here at Sacred Heart. They will edit their photos & movies and make them available to others for their use. This group will need to work closely with Publicity & Newsletter.

Comedies, computer animated characters, or a serious plot; these Friday night movies are more than fun. They are used to get our youth talking and thinking which meeting other kids their age, and chowing down. At these monthly events the youth of the parish get together to watch movies, socialize, learn more about themselves and their faith. If you are in grades 6 through 12th you are invited. Check out the Movie Madness Brochure or watch the bulletin for the date of the next Movie Madness! Admission cost is $3 and a canned good. Food and drinks provided.

Open Lounge is a chance for youth (grades 6-12) to get together after Faith Formation classes. Held each Wednesday of Faith Formation from 7:45 - 8:30 pm in the Youth Lounge. A variety of activities will be offered during the year. Snacks and drinks provided. Youth can hang out, enjoy a video, eat some popcorn or participate in other fun and exciting youth activities.

Youth Jam is an opportunity to bring together hundreds of young Catholics (Grades 6 - 8) from all over the Diocese of Green Bay Once at Youth Jam students will experience the energy, life, and enthusiasm that are unique gifts youth bring to the church! Periodically, our youth ministry will offer a youth lock-in. Food and drinks are provided. Basically we stay up all night watching movies, playing games and hanging out. If you are in grades 6 through 12 this is a win - win situation. You get to have fun with friends, stay up as long as you want and your parents know you are safe. It doesn’t get any better than that! This person will work with the Coordinator of Youth Minister and the Coordinator of Faith Formations for grades 6-12. After it is determined which if any Faith Formation classes will be going, they will work with Publicity and Transportation to promote the event to the entire parish. Based on number they will determine how to best get youth to and from this event.

This band is made up of youth (grades 6 - 12). They learn to play music on buckets and play at Sunday Masses and other special occasions. No musical talent is needed. Band members are needed as well as adult leaders.

Fun in the Son

Each summer the local Catholic youth ministers offer a variety of exciting and fun filled activities for area youth. These events include but are not restricted to: disc golf, trips to Milwaukee Zoo, Noah’s Ark and Great America. What a great way to have some summer time excitement! Faith Factor is four-day service camp in the Fox River Valley. The camp is headquarters out of Sacred Heart parish. It is open you those in grades 6-12. For more information on the camp check out the brochure or print a registation form to sign up. If you can help chaperone or might need our help with a project, print out and return the corresponding forms to Bill Nettekoven in the parish office.
Faith Factor is a 4 day service camp run by the Fox Valley Catholic Youth Ministers. It is a day camp running from 8 am until 4 pm.

Summer Service Trips

Annually the youth group takes a number of service trips. These trips may be local or to other parts of the country. In addition to service trips, we have attended leadership camps and gone to the National Catholic Youth Conference. We do fundraising to help defray most of the cost of the trips, therefore nothing can stand in your way of letting your light shine! Contact Bill Nettekoven (739-3196) for more information.
Each summer Sacred Heart tries to take its high school aged youth on an over night service camp experience. This is a great time to bond with the youth and develop youth leaders. It also exposes them to situations not possible to be experienced locally.
A Catholic Approach to Service Summer service trips are committed to seeing the world from the perspective of the poor. Their engage participants in Catholic Social Teaching and take a Catholic approach to service. They seekss to help participants serve people in real need, to help make a difference in the community, not because it makes us better Christians, not because it makes us feel good, but because Jesus calls us to serve.
Meaningful Service
These trips provide direct and indirect service opportunities which are meaningful, allowing participants to learn more about social justice issues and see the effect their work has on changing lives. Building relationships and breaking down barriers are an intentional part of these programs.Each program site works with the needs of the community to provide a variety of service opportunities. These opportunities include serving the elderly, working in a soup kitchen, helping out with a children’s program, and even rehabbing homes. Your site coordinator will work with you to fit you with a service opportunity appropriate for your team. Positions:

The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is an exciting, biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones. The schedule includes general sessions and workshops addressing a wide variety of topics as well as opportunities for reconciliation, daily liturgy, and special activities such as concerts, a dance, and comedy club. The thematic park is a unique venue incorporating traditional exhibits with interactive educational and recreational activities. Positions:
