This group contacts families which have recently had a family member baptized, offering congratulations and making them aware of what we have to offer here at Sacred Heart and through ACES/Xavier.  Top of Page

Bereavement
If you have lost a loved one and need some support, please contact our bereavement group leader Bill Nettekoven.  This group offers support to those who are suffering with the loss of a loved one. This group contacts every family who has a funeral at Sacred Heart.  We offer support and follow-up with monthly mailings. We are available if you need a listening ear or just need to know someone is there that cares.  Top of Page

Parish Luncheon                      
September through May, usually the 3rd Thursday, we hold a monthly luncheon for those in the parish that are “Young at Heart.”  We open with prayer, followed by a light lunch; we sometimes have a guest speaker and close out the day with Bingo and/or cards.  Watch the bulletin for details.  Top of Page

Blanket Ministry
Members of the parish and the youth group make not sew fleece blankets. Full size blankets are made for giving to members of the parish who are ill and could use a blanket for warmth. Baby size blankets are made to give to each infant baptised at Sacred Heart. All blankets are blessed specifically for one individual. This blessing will occur at a Mass.  Top of Page

Third Birthday Ministry
When a child in the parish has their third birthday they will receive a postcard congratulating them on this big event and inviting them to stop in the Parish Life office to receive a special gift. This special gift is a tote bag full of religious items for them to bring to church with them.   Top of Page

Cookies for Christ
This group meets twice a year to prepare and send care packages for students away at college or members of the parish in the military.   Top of Page

Adopt-A-Pew
Program where members of the parish adopt a pew and then twice a year polish and clean their adopted pew. Polish and rags provided.   Top of Page

Dinner and a Movie
Occasionally during the year we will have "Dinner and a Movie". We start out with a light supper followed by showing a family-oriented movie and finish up with a short discussion abou the movie.   Top of Page

Family Summer Activities
We offer a variety of summertime family based activities.   These events include but are not restricted to: Annual Timber Rattlers game and tail-gate and annual golf outing.  Watch the bulletin and/or monthly newsletter.  Don’t miss out on all the fun!    Top of Page

Bus Trips
We offer coach bus trips to a variety of religious and inspirational locations.  Check the Family Life Bulletin Board for details.  Top of Page

Parish Retreat
Each year the parish will host an one day off-site parish retreat.  Top of Page

National Catholic Speakers
Two to three times a year, the eight Appleton Catholic Parishes bring in a national speaker for a night or weekend talk or retreat.  Watch the bulletin and newsletter for information on future dates.  Top of Page
