First Reconciliation
The norm in our Diocese is to celebrate this sacrament in the second grade. However, parents can decide to defer to when they think their child is ready. Families learn of God’s wonderful mercy and healing grace through the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The key here is the change of heart necessary to make peace with those who have been hurt by actions or lack of appropriate action. Top of Page
First Eucharist
This sacrament is generally celebrated in the second grade. Eucharist means giving thanks. It is an active, participative event in the lives of children and their families. The actions of belonging, gathering, listening, celebrating, giving and going forth are stressed in the context of the Mass throughout preparation for First Eucharist. Top of Page
Reconciliation

Confirmation
This sacrament is generally celebrated during the candidate’s senior year of high school. Immediate preparation for this sacrament begins in their junior year of high school. Confirmation celebrates an individual’s adult membership into the Catholic Church as they fulfill the promises of faith received in baptism. Top of Page
